Application

This alloy exhibits high hardness and has a duplex structure with approximately 50% of each phase (gamma 2 and beta). It possesses excellent compression and wear resistance and is used in deep drawing applications, as well as in all applications that require a smooth finish without scratches, traces, or stains on stainless steel and carbon. Due to the low elongation of this material, very thin sections should be avoided, and proper support is necessary. It is recommended for use in stainless steel rolling, especially in long runs or with thicker gauges where its essential tolerances are maintained.

It is suitable for mandrels and forming cylinders for tube bending, deep-drawing and stretching dies, extractor bushings, and cores for plastic molds. It is also used in parts subjected to wear and high compressive loads.

Manufacturing Process: Extruded / Forged.
